HISTORY

Mazer began in 1932 when Ben Mazer began selling salvaged materials from wrecked buildings to provide for his family during the Depression. Unsalvageable items like paint, drywall, and nails were added, and the business grew to include kitchen and bath materials, flooring and appliances. Eventually, used building materials and wrecking were replaced with an emphasis on remodeling products like cabinets and flooring from items such as lumber and roofing.

In 1959 the business was moved to our current location on 41st Street, eventually focusing on consumers instead of contractors.

In 1995 a successful liquidation sale led to the establishment of our permanent Furniture Center on Greensprings Highway, now expanding to also include appliances, kitchen, bath and flooring. We have high hopes for this location and will continue to pursue opportunities as they arise.
